When preparing for your trip to Bermuda, it's important to pack with the island's sub-tropical climate in mind. Bermuda enjoys mild, moderate weather year-round, but certain seasons call for specific preparations. From May to October, the island experiences its warmer and more humid months, with occasional showers and temperatures in the high 80s (°F). During this period, pack lightweight, breathable clothing along with waterproof items and swimwear. The cooler months from November to April bring milder temperatures and less humidity, making it a perfect time for enjoying the outdoors with some light layers and sun protection in your suitcase. By tailoring your packing to Bermuda's seasonal weather variations, you can ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit to this beautiful island.

We’ve provided the checklist and information below to help you pack for your exceptional travel experience. Remember that your luggage will be delivered to your room at an unspecified time on the day of departure, so it’s a good idea to pack a change of clothes, toiletries and any medications in a carry-on bag to bring with you.

Packing Checklist

  • Casual clothes (trousers/pants, jeans, shorts, T-shirts, collared shirts or blouses)
  • Light sweater or jacket
  • Semi-formal clothes and dress shoes (for 1-2 evenings, depending on the length of your cruise)
  • A bathing suit and a cover-up or wrap
  • Light rain coat and/or compact umbrella
  • Comfortable walking shoes or sandals with rubber soles
  • Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
  • Toiletries (in a sealed clear plastic bag inside your luggage)
  • Minor First Aid care items (Band-Aids, aspirin, hand sanitizer, etc.)
  • Medications (please bring all medications in their original containers)
  • Hair care appliances (see our information on Using Electronics during your trip)
  • Small bag or backpack for port days (large enough for a small Bible, pen, camera and other personal items)
  • Passport with separate photocopy (see below for more information)

Dining Dress Code

On a typical Bermuda cruise, you’ll have one to two nights of dressing up for dinner or other special events. For ladies, we suggest a semi-formal dress or skirt and blouse and for men, a suit or nice button-down with dress pants. The remaining dinners on the cruise are informal (blouse and pants for women; collared shirt with trousers for men). Remember that T-shirts, shorts and tank tops are prohibited in the dining room.

Packing Tips

Ensure your suitcase closes and locks securely. Clearly label your luggage and carry-on with your name and address using personal tags or ones from airline counters. We recommend placing identification information (name, address and phone number) inside your luggage in case external tags are lost. Keep your essential toiletries and a change of clothes in your carry-on. Please do not pack your passport or travel documents in your luggage; you should have them in your carry-on. For added security, keep a photocopy of your passport's information page inside your luggage in case the original is misplaced.
