Dr. Steven Wright has coached football for 26 years, including 21 as a head coach. In 2022, he was named North Carolina Coach of the Year across all sports, and in 2025 the Carolina Panthers recognized him among the top 10 head football coaches in North and South Carolina. A former University of Central Florida football player, Steven holds advanced degrees in biblical studies, intercultural studies and Christian leadership. He is also a gifted speaker who has preached in churches and spoken at FCA events, chapels and men’s gatherings. He is married to Rachel-Ruth Lotz Wright, and they have three daughters.
